From smart lighting and seamless audio to energy-saving automation and total control — we simplify your space so you can enjoy it more.
At Project IoT, we believe smart homes should feel human. We’re a family-owned company based in Harford County and serving Baltimore, Anne Arundel County, and beyond — helping homeowners, builders, and designers across Maryland bring intelligent living to life.
Today’s homes are filled with potential — for comfort, convenience, and control. But too often, that potential gets lost in a maze of remotes, apps, and confusing setups.
At Project IoT, we believe home technology should feel like second nature — not a second job. We help you bring your home into alignment with your lifestyle, using automation that feels intuitive and natural.
To make smart home technology beautifully simple, privacy-forward, and tailored to real life.
We’re not here to push gadgets. We’re here to create meaningful solutions that give people time back, keep families secure, and turn everyday moments into something extraordinary.
We work closely with both end users and trade partners to integrate technology seamlessly into new builds, remodels, and existing homes.
Our passionate, experienced team brings your vision to life with precision, creativity, and care.
Owner & Founder
Patrick grew up in the desert of Southern California, taking things apart just to see how they worked. That early curiosity evolved into a career spanning broadband systems, low-voltage integration, and eventually — home automation.
After relocating to Maryland with his family, Patrick founded Project IoT in 2024 to simplify smart living for real people. He brings a rare mix of hands-on technical skill, business leadership, and visionary thinking to every project.
Technical Field Specialist
Most of our clients don’t consider themselves “tech people.” They just want things to work — reliably, securely, and without stress. That’s exactly what we do. We design systems that reduce friction, eliminate clutter, and simplify everyday living.
No two families are the same — so why would their homes be? We start with a conversation, not a catalog. Your routines, your needs, your style — these are the foundation of every system we build. Lighting, audio, climate, security, shading, and control — all unified, all easy to use, and all built to adapt as your life changes.
We don’t just design for convenience — we design for peace of mind. That means smart locks that keep your family safe, networks that protect your data, and automation systems that respect your privacy. No eavesdropping assistants. No creepy data collection. Just technology you can trust.

This business is built on love — and a whole lot of collaboration. From Patrick’s wife, Karen, who anchors the dream with support and partnership, to the dogs who make job sites more fun, our family is part of every project we deliver. We believe in connection, purpose, and building something meaningful — together.
We’ll listen. We’ll guide. And we’ll build something that truly fits your life. Tell us a little about your home or project and we’ll get back to you.
